It Catchs Up With You

It catches up with you, in the end,
Although its easy to pretend
That the late nights
And fights
With an unknown friend
Under the sheet
Will not defeat
Roistering youth.

The truth
Oft creeps
Up on a man as he sleeps.
Or when, on seeing natureโ€™s beauty he weeps
Over something irredeemably lost,
And counts the cost for a while,
Then with a weary smile
Returns to the merry-go-round
Which will spin him round, and round and round

About drewdog2060drewdog2060

The purpose of this blog is to showcase my writing (gosh that sounds pompous but it isn't meant to be, honestly)! Thus far I have published two ebooks on Amazon, "Samantha", which can be found here http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samantha-ebook/dp/B00BL3CNHI/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top and "The First Time" which can be found here http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-First-Time-ebook/dp/B00AIK0DD6/ref=sr_1_1?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1366827393&sr=1-1&keywords=kevin+morris+the+first+time For further information on this and the other titles which I'll be publishing over the coming months please explore my blog. As new titles are published they will appear here. I hope you enjoy reading my blog and my books.

Found your blog at Nikki’s Meet & Greet party… And I am glad I clicked on your link! Maybe I just haven’t been lucky so far, but from my experience, WP lacks (talented) male poets ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thank you for the inspiring read… I’ll be looking around for more!
