      Indeed, Mick. You make an excellent point! Have you ever come across a badger at close quarters? I haven’t so only know of their habits via wildlife programmes and, of course through the Wind in the Willows (the latter not being a reliable source admittedly)!

        A friend of mine who used to live on a farm once heard a commotion in the night and went outside in just a pair of shorts to find a badger caught up in the chicken run. A Very Angry Badger. He tells me it was Most Fierce!

        I think that there is a case for the establishment of a charity catering for badgers with anger management issues. I shall contact the Charity Commission to ascertain how to go about setting up said charity …
