When I Die

When I Die
Where will
All these dreams go?
And will I
Be dreaming still?
I do not know.

I think that those who possess a strong religious faith (and are certain of an afterlife) derive a sense of comfort from their belief/knowledge? that this eartly existence is not the end, while some (but all) non-believers are fearful of death.

I’m sure that being certain does provide comfort to some. I’m an agnostic so sit on the fence.

      Best – Kevin

I know what you are saying. Even those who possess a religioys belief/faith, like me, still waver and doubt and ask qyestions. Especially in the face of death. I am a Realist and despite hoping there is something beyon this world, I cannot feel sure that there is. Although, it might be quite nice for tbere to be nothing. Big questions Mevin. I think about these things a lot. Love your poem by the way

I meant to write the below. Apologies for the typo in my original response to your comment: I think that those who possess a strong religious faith (and are certain of an afterlife) derive a sense of comfort from their belief/knowledge? that this earthly existence is not the end, while some (but not all) non-believers are fearful of death.

Yes, I think many do. I have never had certainty. Apologies for my typos too. I think I made quite a few. I think I might be thinking about this for a while now, as it is one of my favourite topics. I never come to any definitive answers though
